Reece's X Factor pain: "I lost one of my mates"
He may be tipped to win The X Factor Australia, but Reece Mastin's world came crashing down recently upon receiving the devastating news that a friend from his hometown in Adelaide took his own life.
"I just lost one of my mates," he tells TV WEEK. "It's been pretty hard. It was a shock, because he was one of the happiest kids ever."
Being the hottest contestant in the fierce singing competition means the 16-year-old wasn't able to leave Sydney to be at his friend's funeral.
"I sent out a tweet to him to say 'rest in peace'," he says. "And I sent some to my mates back home, too, because it's hit a few of them really hard."
In his time of need, Reece's closest friends have put their pennies together and flown to Sydney to be with their friend for extra support. But the British-born teen knows he can turn to his X Factor family and says they are looking after him through this tough time.

Mel has extra motivation to lose her baby kilos as the face of Australian Jenny Craig. She has previously revealed that she aims to lose 15kg while on the weight loss program, after admitting to "pigging out" during her pregnancy.

Mel has been in Australia with hubby, Stephen Belafonte and their baby girl, Madison Belafonte while working as a judge on Australian X-Factor.

If she keeps this up, Mel will be looking her former, super-muscly self in no time.

Whats Up Rihanna?

It seems like every time we see a picture of Rihanna lately, she's in a bikini and on holiday in some amazingly beautiful place.
Usually it's Barbados – her family home – but the singer's most recent glamorous vacation was in Italy, sailing in a posh yacht with her girlfriends. Not bad!

RiRi was nice enough to post a few hundred holiday snaps on her facebook page for fans to enjoy. Sweet! Who needs the paparazzi when the stars are giving away such amazing pics for free?

We know she's into being raunchy and stuff, but some of these pics (and captions) are pretty full on - even for Rihanna!

We guess being sexy isn't just her day job.

Justin Bieber Baby Daddy Update

The mum of Mariah Yeater (the chick who's claiming Justin Bieber is the father of her kid) has been convicted of battery with serious bodily harm.
RadarOnline.com has obtained a police report that shows Mariah's mum, Michelle, was arrested in late 2007 after attacking a bargin store salesperson called Dominique Ross.

The report reads: 'Yeater and Ross got into an argument over money. Yeater struck Ross in the left eye with a closed fist.'

According to the document, Yeater's punch caused the salesperson to go temporarily blind, and she was taken to hospital for treatment.

Michelle's daughter, Mariah, claims she and Justin Bieber had sex at one of his concerts last year and is taking the singer to court to 'prove' he's the dad of her baby.

Mariah Carey has taken a sneaky dig at celebrities who marry and divorce within months.Hmmm, could it be that the singer is referring to Kim 'my marriage lasted for 72 days' Kardashian?

The singer made the catty call at a Jenny Craig press conference, where she debuted her post-baby weight loss and spoke about her marriage to Nick Cannon.

"Sometimes we make each other mad, that's why we aren't divorced after four months," she said, adding: "I'm not going to put on a fake face."

According to the Daily Mail the press conference crowd let off a bit of a gasp after Mariah's snarky remarks, leading her to apologise.

"I'm sorry, I'm just saying," she said.

Meanwhile, Mariah's been out and about flaunting her new post-baby bod, courtesy of the Jenny Craig diet program. The singer says she lost 30 pounds, or about 13 kilos, by eating 1,500 calories per day and working out three times a week.

A giddy Taylor Swift won her second entertainer of the year award and rising sibling act The Band Perry was the night's top winner as The Country Music Association Awards celebrated the young women of country music.
Swift was rewarded for an amazing year during which she brought country music to the Far East, scored hits all around the world and continued a run that's made her country's hottest young star for several years.

She's just thesecond woman to win the award twice, joining Barbara Mandrell.

"This is thanks to all the fans who filled the stadiums and arenas all over the world this year," said Swift, who leaped from her seat with her hands in the air and jumped for joy.

"I am so happy we had so many to play for this year. You have made my year."

Swift beat nominees Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton for the top award.

If I Die Young, written by Kimberly Perry, won song and single of the year and the band picked up new artist of the year as well.

Technically the band, which includes Perry's brothers Neil and Reid, won two awards since song of the year goes to the writer, who was Kimberly Perry alone. But the message was the same nonetheless.

If I Die Young is one of the few country songs that managed to crossover into the pop world.

"We sort of feel like we are part of the country evangelism scene and we love to hear country songs on pop radio," Kimberly Perry said.

"It proved to be a song with really long legs."

Crossover appeal proved to be the theme of the night. Jason Aldean, who won his first major CMA award when his platinum-selling My Kinda Party won album of the year, also won musical event of the year for his duet Don't You Wanna Stay with Kelly Clarkson. And Kenny Chesney won music video of the year for his duet You and Tequila with Grace Potter.

That theme also carried over to the stage where stars from different genres came together for some of the CMA's strongest performances. The show featured plenty of sexy dancing, belching smoke special effects and, at one point, acrobats spinning down from the ceiling on lengths of unspooling fabric.

Lionel Richie had every star buzzing on the red carpet before performing duets from his new country album with Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker and Little Big Town.

Blake Shelton and Kenny Loggins opened the show with a high-energy version of Loggins' hit Footloose. Later, Glen Campbell, one of country's biggest crossover pioneers who is now battling Alzheimer's disease, was given a musical tribute when Vince Gill, Keith Urban and Brad Paisley sang three of his songs.

Lady Antebellum won vocal group of the year for the third straight time and Sugarland took its fifth straight vocal duo of the year award. And Shelton and his wife Lambert repeated as male and female vocalists of the year. Keith Urban had also been nominated in the male vocalist of the year category.

Kim Kardashian is still in love with her ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush and had wanted to cancel her wedding to Kris Humphries two weeks before it went ahead, her former publicist has claimed.
Jonathan Jaxson, who worked with Kardashian between 2007 and 2009, says the reality TV star could not pull the plug on her wedding because she was contractually obliged to the E! network, which had the TV rights to the event.

Mr Jaxson has joined the chorus of people claiming Kardashian’s marriage to Humphries was a publicity stunt.

"Two weeks prior to her wedding she knew it was not something she wanted to do," Mr Jaxson told Good Day LA yesterday.

"Unfortunately they were obligated to honour contracts otherwise they would have owed people a lot of money."

Earlier in the week, Jaxson told The Morning Show the 31-year-old had "never gotten over" her ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush.

The couple dated for two years before ending their relationship in July 2009.

A couple of months later, they were back together before calling it quits again in March 2010. Mr Jaxson claims Kardashian was used to publicity stunts — he often set them up during their time together.

He said he orchestrated a fake engagement story with Kim and Reggie in 2007, setting up paparazzi outside a jewellery store which she would later walk out of.

Kardashian has yet to respond to her former publicist's claims but has previously denied the marriage was fake.

"Anyone that would get married for a TV show, it's just, you know, ridiculous," she told 2Day FM radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O recently.

"It's just sad that I even have to defend that."

Kardashian filed for divorce on November 1, just 72 days after her extravagant wedding that earned the couple $17m in magazine and TV deals!

Justin Bieber's Last Night In London
None-too-pleased with the prying eye of the paparazzi, Justin Bieber offered up the one finger salute as he arrived at Mr Chows in London, England yesterday (November 14).

Making for his last day in the UK capital city, the "Mistletoe" singer ate dinner with a group of friends, including a cute young lady who sat alongside Justin at the table.

Also fitting in a little shopping during his visit to London, Bieber tweeted earlier in the day, "got some fresh gear in London Town"

As for his upcoming travels, Justin wrote, "UK I will miss you. Time for Germany and then back to the states to support @PencilsOfPromis - #MakeAChange"

Katy Perry premieres 'The One that Got Away'
In the song's visual accompaniment, the fiery brunette songstress plays an older version of herself thinking back on a romance-filled relationship she once had with a man played by Diego Luna.

If “The One That Got Away” hits the #1 spot on the music charts, it will be her sixth successful tune off of her album, Teenage Dream.

Meanwhile, Perry previously dished about the track, “This song shows a very different side of me that I haven’t shown with my past singles on this record. I think that everyone can relate to this song."

The 27-year-old added, “I wrote this song about when you promise someone forever, but you end up not being able to follow through. It’s a bittersweet story - hopefully, the listener learns from hearing it and never has to say they had ‘The One get away."
